Weather and Wildlife
-
We still go out!
We walk rain or shine, however, in the case of a storm we may need to cancel adventure walks to be shorter. In most cases we can still go out, but walks will be adjusted to keep everyone safe.
-
We will adjust walks as needed, making sure there is lots of shade and water sources for the dogs to stay hydrated and go for a dip.
-
Its a fact of Whistler that there are Bears about. Bears usually avoid conflict but it can still happen. To help prevent encounters all dogs wear Bear Bells to make their presence known to wildlife.
Additionally, in case of Bears, we stay calm and we our Bear Sense. Additionally, we use Tractive GPS monitors for location tracking in case of separation of a spooked dig.
-
We use Tractive GPS Smart Tracker as well as Bear Bells. This tracker allows us to have ‘real time’ tracking ability for a quick response in case of separation.
Additional Questions
-
Male dogs need to be neutered for group walks.
To keep all our friends safe, we do require proof of vaccinations for Rabies and Bordetella (kennel cough)
-
Yes, we will need a key or door code access to your home for pick up and drop off services. Specific instructions will be gathered upon booking.
-
We need to meet your dog first at the location of pick up to ensure they are comfortable with the pick up process. This gives the humans more time to have any additional questions answered.
-
We ask that all dogs that join us have basic training, manners and trail sense. This means that they are not aggressive with large wildlife, keep close on trail (don’t run off), have basic recall and will behave with other dogs.
If your dog is still learning some of these skills, that is okay, but we need to know for everyone’s safety to adjust as needed.
-
Not necessarily. If you are worried about your dog being off leash please let us know so we can keep them on a long or short leash as needed for their needs.

We are currently taking payment directly through our site as well as E-Transfer.
